Asssitance grant for divorcees of fighting reservists


​Background

In accordance with a government decision and the agreement signed between the National Insurance Institute and the Ministry of Defense, a one-time grant of NIS 3,000 will be paid to the divorcees of reservists in the combat unit.

Who is eligible

A resident of Israel who is divorced from a reservist in combat unit, when they have a child together who is under 14 years old.

Eligibility will be granted to the divorcee of a soldier who served in the reserves for at least 120 days in the period between 07.10.2023 and 31.12.26

Please note

Eligibility is determined based on information received from IDF and transferred to the National Insurance for the purpose of making actual payments.

The National Insurance will not be able to transfer any payment without the information from IDF.

Payment method

  • The grant will be paid by the National Insurance, without the need to file a claim and automatically to those eligible, according to the lists received from IDF.
  • The payment will be made to the bank account to which the child allowance is paid. To the extent that the child allowance is not paid to the eligible account - the payment will be made to the eligible in an active and verified bank account (with the National Insurance).
  • The Ministry of Defense and IDF will update those eligible regarding the conditions of their eligibility.
